My Sand Tray Therapy Bridge Activity

Sand Tray Therapy Bridge
Building is not my forte. I struggled to come up with my own pretty version of a sand tray therapy bridge. I love San Francisco and wanted a shiny red metal one. For the sake of using what I had, I used Legos. I still tried to make it interesting with the two arches. I also put birds on top to watch over the city. Part of the bridge has a draw inside to keep uninvited persons out. I am still in the role of a mermaid. I guess I just like her. I added a turtle to keep her company.
My bridge represents the journey that I will be making in school and future. On one side of the bridge is me and on the other side is a tree of life, a treasure box to reward me for crossing and a beach ball to have fun. I also felt it necessary to add a life preserver. I thought just in case I almost make it I can grab for the life preserver to pull me in. I don't know why I put the translucent suit, maybe he was just cool.
I love the idea of having a bridge close by to take a journey if needed. I also enjoy the thought that the other side is more promising and delightful. Maybe it is heaven? I placed 6 colored stones next to the mermaid. They are my clarity and vision for what move is needed next.
I sometimes feel so close to accomplishing something but then something unexpected and out of my control appears. I have accepted this is part of the hills of life. I try to roll with it as much as I can. I love the idea of certainty. I like absolute when it reflects a positive nature. This is an example of a happy sand tray in sand tray therapy.
