I use this Yoga Art Therapy worksheet in every facet of my counseling. This activity works well in art therapy groups, school counseling guidance lessons, and individual art therapy counseling sessions.
The art therapy worksheet can be found below. Print it
out and ask your art therapy client to think about a time they felt “strong” as
strength is the first part of this yoga art therapy activity.
After the art therapy client has visualized a time they felt “strong” they can draw a picture of themselves actually doing the pose. Once the art therapy yoga drawing is completed ask the art therapy client to actually try the pose out.
I usually perform this yoga pose along with my art therapy clients. The yoga poses are not difficult and most people can do them.
Next, repeat each pose with a visual imagery, a drawing, and an action pose. Continue doing this until all the yoga art therapy poses are completed.
After your art therapy yoga session give the completed worksheet to the art therapy client and they can take it home.
It will help remind your art therapy client of a new coping skill they learned!
