Try this Play Therapy Technique: The feeling bottle
With my play therapy technique of the feeling bottle I made a happy one. I added things that make me happy to remind myself of the good things I have in life. I added 5 hearts that represent my husband and three children that I love dearly. I added flowers for my parents and had some leafs for the memories that we have playing outside together. I just wanted to remind myself of all the wonderful things I have that money did not buy and could not take away.
I love the play therapy feeling bottle and will defiantly use it with my clients. I have already made one with my children and had our clients and parents at my practicum site do one. They really enjoyed it and thought that it was a great way to remember that emotions change all the time, and eventually they will settle down and things will get back to “normal” eventually.
