Play Therapy Bibliography Idea for Clients Having a Bad Day

Play Therapy Bibliography Idea for Clients Having a Bad Day

From the moment I saw this play therapy assignment in the syllabus of Play Therapy Bibliography, my favorite book from childhood immediately popped in my head. "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", is the best book, in my opinion. As a child, I read a lot of books, and even though I read at an advanced level for my age, I still preferred the classics such as this particular play therapy story.

Reading was my favorite past time in elementary school, so much so that being sent to my room was a treat, since that's where my books were. I didn't have a lot of close friends as a young child and would often be tucked off in a corner somewhere, lost in the world of Amelia Bedelia, Alexander, and Babysitter's Club.

There is something about a good story, especially as a child, that transports one to a magical place away from all the chaos and problems in the real world.

Thanks to this play therapy assignment, I went to the library for the first time in a few years, and of course, remembered exactly why I was so passionate about books to begin with. The stories may be more adult, but I still get the same connection as when I was young.
