Bullying Prevention Coping Skill Technique

Use Love and Kindness
(You will be happier too!)

What would love and kindness do if a bullied? Love and kindness would realize that the bully, or mean teaser, was a sad person. They would feel sorry for the bully / mean teaser. They would want to help them be a better person. Love and kindness would know that the bully / mean teaser probably has some really mean thoughts towards themselves.

Love and kindness would also not allow themselves to be mean back. They understand that when you are mean, you become unhappy. Love and kindness treats others, as well as themselves with "love and kindness". 

Meet the "Warm Fuzzy Feeling Friend" named "Amour". She is filled with pure love and kindness. You can read her story on the link below. "Amour" always practices love and kindness, and eventually it comes back to her.

"Amour" The Warm Fuzzy Friend of Love and Kindness

Let’s see what our little “Amour” would do if she was bullied or mean teased. Remember, she is the Warm Fuzzy Friend of Love and Kindness.

"Amour" would say, “Just be nice”, to people who are picking on her or bullying her.  "Amour" shows kindness and love even when faced with a “bully, or a mean teaser”.

If you want to show love and kindness and not buy into bullying, or mean teasing, then do what "Amour" does. Follow the directions below and learn to use your bullying prevention coping skill technique and be smarter than the mean teaser, or the bully.

Directions for the “Amour's Just Be Nice!” Bullying Prevention Coping Skill Technique:




    1. If someone is saying something mean to you look them in the eye and stand up straight.
    2. Say, “Just be nice!”, in a kind but firm voice to the bully, or mean teaser. 
    3. Walk away slowly and do not say anything else to the bully, or mean teaser.
    4. Never, ever, yell back at a bully. You have to be firm and set a boundary with them. Yelling never works with anyone. It just makes you look mean!

This might take a few times to say to the bully, or mean teaser. I recommend saying this about three times. You have to practice your body language in the mirror, or with another person to get this bullying prevention coping skill technique right. Your voice must be kind, but firm.

This bullying prevention coping skill technique lets the bully, or mean teaser, know that you are taking the higher road and refusing to engage with them in being mean! You are using emotionally intelligence and you are smarter than the bully, or mean teaser.



Always remember, if you are being physically hurt, or threatened, you must tell a trusted adult immediately. If they don’t help you, then keep telling until someone helps you. You can even call the police if you are being physically hurt, or threatened.
